CORA Corporation's principals and associates hold professional certifications and advanced degrees in disciplines related to organizational leadership, human resource management, and professional communication. We have extensive expertise in workshop and curriculum design, facilitation, business strategy improvement, organizational learning, assessment instrumentation, and executive coaching.
Richard Wilson, Chief Executive Officer, is a certified human behavioral consultant. He has a wide range of professional experience in interpersonal communication and organizational behavior in fields as diverse as law enforcement, community service organizations, and church ministry. He is a trained professional business and life coach, a dynamic speaker, a creative marketer, and a motivating trainer.
As CEO and chief facilitator for CORA Corporation, Rich works with small- and mid-sized businesses and organizations, helping them to succeed by providing HR tools and training, compliance workshops, assessments, and executive and personal coaching. His professional credentials include training from the Creative Problem Solving Institute of Buffalo, the supervisor training program at Pennsylvania State University, the “Courageous Leadership” training program, and the Corporate Coaching group of Coach University.
Rich was a career law enforcement officer from 1974 to 1996. During his 22 years on the force, he never lost a case in court. His exemplary service was honored with the Police Star of Gallantry, the Outstanding Police Achievement Medal, and an American Legion Certificate of Commendation. He was the founding president of the Butler County Lodge #107 of the Fraternal Order of Police and was named “Top Young Law Enforcement Officer” for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1982.
After retiring from law enforcement, Rich spent six years as a volunteer for several nonprofit organizations including the Boy Scouts of America. Rich has been actively involved in projects including fundraising, large-event management, and directing large numbers of volunteers. From 2003 to 2007, he worked part-time for the First United Methodist Church of Butler, Pa., becoming a Licensed Local Pastor and serving as the Director of Ministries. His community and church-related service has included leading a team of 24 people on a 10-day mission trip to help victims of Hurricane Katrina in Waveland, Mississippi, and serving on the organizing committee for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2005 “Denim and Diamonds” fundraiser at the Butler Country Club.
Rich is an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management, the International Coaching Federation, and the American Management Association and is on the board of directors of the Pittsburgh Family Business Roundtable and the Butler County Emergency Relief Initiative. He is one of the instructors for Butler County Leadership, teaching today’s and tomorrow’s leaders management, supervisory, and leadership skills. Rich is active in the Cranberry Area Chamber of Commerce and the Butler Area Chamber of Commerce.
Amy Wilson, president, holds a master’s degree in Professional Writing from Slippery Rock University. During a 25-year career as a communications consultant, editor/writer, and public relations executive, she has distinguished herself as an insightful communications strategist, combining persuasive written and verbal communication with professional presentation and business savvy to advise clients on positioning their companies and projects for maximum market impact. For CORA Corporation, she produces employee manuals, advises on communications strategy, and handles the day-to-day operations of the business.
Amy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcasting from Arizona State University as a Chevron Journalism/Economics Scholar. She spent the next ten years in Los Angeles, working for a variety of powerhouse public relations and advertising firms, including Rogers & Cowan, Lippin & Grant (now the Lippin Group), and Bozell, Jacobs, Kenyon, & Eckhardt, before being recruited by Paramount as Director of Public Relations for the studio’s Domestic Television Division.
After leaving Paramount to start her own communication consulting firm, Amy was in demand by such clients as Warner Brothers, Fox, and Touchstone/Disney for her ability to create compelling and persuasive media kits. She also wrote a regular column on public relations issues for a television industry trade magazine and contributed articles on broadcast technology to Electronic Media magazine. During this time, she was also an officer of the Los Angeles chapter of Women in Communications and produced their monthly newsletter.
Relocating to Western Pennsylvania in the mid-1990s, Amy turned her talents toward scholarly publishing. From 1998 to 2007, she served as the technical editor for MRS Bulletin, an international review journal for the Materials Research Society, based in Warrendale, Pa. She is currently focusing her interests on issues of workplace ethics, business protocol, and leadership.
Amy is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners.
Dawn DePasquale, consulting associate, is a master trainer with Development Dimensions International (DDI) and a training associate with the Creative Problem Solving Group of Buffalo, N.Y. Her workshops in leadership, team-building, and human relations are in high demand by major corporations all over the world. Dawn has created a solid reputation for high-quality, high-energy, and high-impact facilitation of leadership and workforce topics, behavioral interviewing technology, customer service skills, creative problem solving, and train-the-trainer certifications. Over 10,000 participants in her training sessions have rated both her “facilitation skill” and “content knowledge” an average 4.9 out of 5.0. Due to her reputation for having a creative approach, she is also often asked to create and provide unique keynote addresses, interactive workshops, motivational team rallies, and fun/engaging retreat sessions.
Dawn holds a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh, a master’s degree from Slippery Rock University, and a bachelor’s degree from Grove City College. She has master trainer certifications for DDI’s Learning Systems and DDI’s Targeted Selection® interviewing, the Tracom Styles Inventory, Osborn-Parnes Creative Problem Solving Process, and the VIEW Inventory of Problem-Solving Processes.
Dawn has authored numerous research and feature articles, has served on the editorial board of a national research journal, and has been active on several regional/state boards and national committees. She is a member of American Society of Training and Development, International Association of Facilitators, World Future Society, and is a lifetime member of the Creative Education Foundation.
Active in a number of community organizations, she was honored for her involvement as the inaugural recipient of the Westmoreland County Community Service Award. She also served as Board President of the countywide Chamber of Commerce and led the development of the community’s Leadership Development Program that prepares community members to serve on profit and nonprofit boards.
Glenn Max Wilson, consulting associate, is an experienced international consultant and certified international trainer with the Creative Problem Solving Group of Buffalo, N.Y. and others. Glenn has helped Global 500 companies, government agencies, and small businesses find solutions for product and concept development, change management, and process improvement.
Glenn’s 40 years of business ownership has encompassed a variety of products and services—each one requiring a custom systems approach to achieve solid financial results. As a commercial real estate strategist, he has enhanced this entrepreneurial viewpoint by applying advanced education and experience to create an innovative business model for the real estate industry. Glenn is also the inventor and developer of the Max Reportsm and the Max Report Properties Databasesm.
Glenn’s ability to conduct and apply research with practical applications is one of the reasons he is recognized as a thought leader in problem-solving and innovation across the U.S. and Europe. He has researched and created a comprehensive bibliographic resource of creativity, currently used in eight countries to develop resource centers on creativity and innovation. Glenn also has compiled one of the largest libraries in the world on creativity in processes, people, products, and psychological environments.
He holds a master’s degree in Creativity & Innovation from the State University of NY—College at Buffalo, as well a master’s degree in Technology Education and a bachelor’s degree in Education from California University of Pennsylvania.
Ann Nickerson Gatty, founding president of CORA Corporation and consulting associate, has experience in nonprofit organizational management and employee training. She holds a PhD in Instruction and Learning from the University of Pittsburgh School of Education, and a master’s degree in Education and Museum Studies from the College of William and Mary.
From 1986 to 1991, Ann was an adjunct professor at Duquesne University in the History Department's Archives, Museum, and Editing Program. She also taught at Chatham College and the College of William and Mary. Ann was an assistant professor in the Master of Science in Organizational Leadership Program at Geneva College from 1997 to 2000.
Since 1989, Ann has been a management consultant for nonprofit organizations and corporations. She has also supervised and trained employees, volunteers, and interns. She has developed curriculum and educational programs that won national acclaim. In addition, Ann has served on Chambers of Commerce, tourist promotions, and other civic organization boards.
Eugene B. Gatty, founding COO of CORA Corporation and consulting associate, received his PhD in Educational Administration at the University of Pittsburgh. He began his career in public education teaching high school English. He then served as assistant principal, assistant superintendent, and most recently as superintendent of schools for the Moniteau School District. In 1987, he was hired by the Hazleton Area School District and served as superintendent until 1993.
In 1992, Gene was elected Pennsylvania State Superintendent of the Year in recognition of his leadership activities in the field of education. Gene received both his master’s in Education and a BA in English from Slippery Rock University. He has taught at the university level at Wilkes University, Penn State University, Hazleton Campus, and at Geneva College, where he also served as Executive Director of the Geneva Leadership Institute and the Master’s of Science in Organizational Leadership. Gene has been a keynote speaker and workshop-training director at numerous regional and national conferences.
